The DIPS-OA is a structured clinical interview for diagnosing mental disorders. It is applicable for adults and assesses lifetime diagnoses, current and past, according to DSM-5 and ICD-10. The DIPS-OA covers the mental disorders most commonly seen in clinical settings:


• Anxiety Disorders
• Bipolar and Related Disorders
• Depressive Disorders
• Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders
• Trauma and Stress Related Disorders
• Somatic Stress and Related Disorders
• Eating Disorders
• Sleep-Wake Disorders
• Disorders related to Psychotropic Substances and Dependent Behaviors
• Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder
• Borderline Personality Disorder
• Internet Gaming Disorder
• Suicidal Behavior Disorder
• Screening for psychosis, sexual dysfunction, and tobacco use

In addition, general demographic information and additional clinically relevant information are collected.

Administration of the DIPS requires a sufficient level of knowledge of DSM-5 and/or ICD-10 classification and diagnostic criteria, clinical experience, and systematic training in its implementation.
